Abusive Relationships

Relational aggression is psychological (emotional or social) violence between people in relationships. Relational aggression is a type of aggression where the group is used as a weapon to attack others and others' relationships. It uses secrets, lies, betrayals and other deceitful plans to obliterate or harm the relationships and social standing of others in the group. Also recognized as covert bullying, social aggression, "female bullying", family bullying or serial bullying, it is a concealed form of aggression, used by both men and women in relationships. It is less renowned than physical types of aggression and therefore much harder to notice. Often, the victim may not be acquainted with the addict is lying or gossiping about the fatality, and the abuser may even act as if to befriend the victim.
