Blood Pressure
Blood PressureBlood pressure is a physiological variable such as respiratory rate, body temperature, or heart rate. Blood pressure is not steady all over the day; each time the heart squeezes and relaxes, there is a new blood pressure. It boosts before awakening and declines with sleep. The level of blood pressure is regulated by the kidneys, heart, brain, endocrine glands, and blood vessels. In the US, the authentic level of blood pressure slowly increases from birth to adulthood. Due to disparity in diet and activity levels in non industrialized countries, however, blood pressure does not amplify beyond the age of 18. |
