Cardiology

Cardiology is the division of medicine deals with diagnosis and treatment of the heart and blood vessels. The field is generally divided in the branches of congenital heart defects, heart failure, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, and electrophysiology. Physicians specializing in this field of medicine are known as cardiologists. Cardiologists investigate patients with suspected heart disorders by taking a very careful, broad history of the patient's condition, and performing an entire physical examination.
