Child Development
Child DevelopmentChild development defines as a growth of emotional, perceptual, intellectual, and behavioral capabilities and implementation during childhood. It includes development of language, logic, memory, emotional awareness, symbolic thought, understanding, a moral sense, and a sense of identity, including sex-role identity. There are 3 wide phases of development: early childhood, middle childhood, and youth. The meaning of these phases is controlled around the primary tasks of growth in each phase, though the boundaries of these stages are flexible. Society's ideas about childhood move over time, and study has led to new understandings of the development that takes place in each stage. |
