What is Chinese Medicine?Chinese medicine is also recognize as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is a wide range of traditional medical therapy developed in China over many thousand years. A TCM method covers theories, treatments and diagnosis such as herbal medicine, acupuncture and body massage. In the West, TCM is considered alternative medicine. In Taiwan and mainland China, Traditional Chinese Medicine is considered an integral part of the health care system. E.g., TCM therapies may be recommended to counter the disorders of chemotherapy, cravings and withdrawal symptoms of drug addicts, and a various chronic disorders. Methods used in Chinese medicine treatment: Safety Acupuncture and acupressure are largely accepted to be safe from results gained through medical researches. Numerous reports of pneumothorax (abnormality), nerve damage and infection have been accounted as resulting from acupuncture treatments. These unpleasant events are extremely rare mainly when compared to other medical interventions, and were found to be due to practitioner carelessness. Bruising and dizziness will sometimes result from acupuncture treatment. |
