Dentistry

The science concerned with the analysis, prevention, and healing of sickness of the teeth, gums, and other related structures of the mouth and as well as the repair or replacement of defective teeth. A dentist is a medical healthcare professional qualified to practice dentistry after graduating with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Bachelor of Dentistry (BDent), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc), or Bachelor of Dental Surgery/Chirurgical (BDS) or (BChD) or equal. In most western countries, to become an experienced dentist one must usually complete at least 4 years of postgraduate learning. Usually, 2 years of medical experience working with patients in an educational setting are compulsory.
