Dermatology

Dermatology is a division of medicine dealing with the skin including the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the skin and the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders. Dermatologists also study the function and structure of the skin, and the association between skin pathologies and malfunctions of other organs of the body. Dermatologic surgeons practice skin cancer surgery (including Mohs' micrographic surgery), photodynamic therapy (PDT), laser surgery and cosmetic procedures using botulinum toxin ('Botox'), sclerotherapy, soft tissue fillers, and liposuction. Dermatology often be related the practice of other medical specialties, e.g., neurology and internal medicine.
