General Medicine
General Medicine also known as internal medicine is a division of medicine specialty devoted to the study and care of the complete patient rather than a particular organ system, covering diagnosis and medical somewhat than surgical treatment in adults. As more precise treatments became accessible, medical knowledge increased, and subspecialties in precise organ systems were defined, internal medicine became recognized as a specialty. Doctors of internal medicine, also known as "internists", are requisite to have included in their medical schooling and postgraduate training at least 3 years dedicated to learning how to put off, diagnose, and treat diseases that affect adults. Internists are occasionally referred to as the "doctor's doctor," because they are often called upon to act as counselors to other physicians to help resolve puzzling diagnostic problems.
