Internal medicine is the division and specialty of medicine concerning the diagnosis and non surgical treatment of diseases in adults, particularly of internal organs. general practitioner of internal medicine, also known as “internists”, are requisite to have included in their medical schooling & post graduate education at least 3 years dedicated to learning how to prevent, analyze, and treat diseases that affect adults. Internists are occasionally referred to as the doctor's. because they are regularly called upon to act as consultants to other physicians to assist solve puzzling diagnostic troubles. Medical doctors of internal medicine treat the entire person, not just internal organs.
