Initially, parents welcomed the Internet into their homes, supposing they were opening up an exciting new world of learning opportunities for their kids. However, many parents soon understand that, in its place of using the Internet for homework or research, their kids were spending hours instant messaging with friends, talking to strangers in chat rooms or playing online games.
