Pediatrics

It's a branch of Medical specialty dealing with the progress, health, and diseases of children. It became a specific area of study in the eighteenth century, when the first children's hospitals were founded. Early pediatricians studied childhood diseases but could do modest to cure them. By the mid-twentieth century, when antibiotics and vaccines had proscribed most of these diseases in the urbanized world and infant and child mortality had fallen, pediatrics distorted its focus to normal growth and child development. Recently, behavioral and social aspects of children's strength have been incorporated.
