What Is Self-Esteem?To break the term into two words, it helps to easily understand the definition of self-esteem. First of all we know the meaning of self; it means well, your consciousness of your own identity. Then have look esteem, it is a condition of being honored (esteemed or respected or well regarded; A feeling of delighted approval and liking). So those two words In contact with each other or in proximity we find the word self-esteem. In what way or manner you give value very much yourself and how important you think you are and how are you feel about your achievements. It's not about thinking you're perfect - because nobody is - but knowing that you're worthy of being loved and accepted. Why Self-Esteem Is ImportantGood self-esteem is significant because it improves the condition and holds your head high and feels proud of yourself and what you can do. Basically it gives to you the courage to try new things and the power to believe in yourself. It causes to be in a certain position or condition you do respect yourself, even when you make mistakes. And when you respect yourself, adults and other kids usually they respect you, too. Have a feeling of good self-esteem is also the ticket to maintain good choices about your mind and body. What are some general benefits of high self-esteem?You have a chronic case of feeling good. Generally not thinking and do not analyze about yourself. Every time you feel good. But when you feel bad, it doesn't last long. You are recovering readily from adversity in the face of diversity. You smile a lot. You have positive belief systems about your self, your family and society as a whole. You feel lots of energy. You are able to set and accomplish most of your goals. You make long-term friendships. You look others in the eye. You are trustworthy and able to be intimate and affectionate. You take risks. You are independent and autonomous. |
