Surgery
SurgeryThat division of medical science commonly takes care of diseases by functioning intervention. Surgical techniques may involve easing mechanical obstruction of a tubular organ, like the intestine; or removing a diseased organ, which can't be recovered by medical treatment, like a gangrenous appendix or inflamed gallbladder; or eliminating a malignant tumor with a margin of normal tissue; or fixing an wounded organ, or removing it if the organ is irreparable and its lack is compatible with survival. |
