What is a Sikhism?Sikhism is a favoring or promoting religion well ahead of its time when it was founded over 500 years ago, today over 20 million people of worldwide has following the Sikh religion and is ranked as the worlds 5th largest religion. Sikhism delivers a preaching message of Cheerful compliance and anamnesis of God at all times, truthful living, status of mankind and speak out against superstitions and blind customary observance. Sikhism is open to all through the teachings of its 10 Gurus enshrined in the Sikh Holy Book and Living Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Basic Beliefs of the Sikh FaithSikh believes the most vital part of being experience that Sikh is one lives one's life according to the teachings of the Sikh Gurus, Sikhs devotes their time to meditating on God and the scriptures, and does that things to gave benefit other people’s. Sikhs believe that there who created the universe and everything in it that is a single and powerful God. Sikhism Intensity of social and gender equality, and stresses the importance of behaving an altruistic manner. They believe everyone is equal in God's eyes; whatever their gender, caste, or creed. There are no clergy in Sikhism and everyone can be directly in touch with God. Sikhs do not believe that any religion has a monopoly on the truth. They do not regard Sikhism as the only way to God. They should be living a responsible life as part of the community. Withdrawing from the world or becoming a Practicing great self-denial is not as Sufficient. Any customary observance or practice is meaningless and should be avoided. Their personal Feelings of ardent love include meditation on and awareness of God (Nam simran) and they doing community service called Sewa. Social justice is to be supported. The use of force as a last resort is justified to uphold it. Death is not the end: Death is seen as the transition to a life where the joy of being in the presence of God can be fully realized. Worship, Festivals and holy days of sikhsGuru Gobind Singh Ji the 10th Guru of Sikhsfounder of the Khalsa on Vaisakhi1699, so Sikhs celebrate the anniversary of their guru and also the Vaisakhi is the Sikh New Year festival. Associated with the lives of the Gurus this Festival Known as Gurpurb. The Sikhs are celebrated these happy occasions with most enthusiastic manner. Sikhs and Hindus both are celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Light, and But Sikhs give a special meaning of this festival to celebrating the release of Guru Hargobind from imprisonment at Gwalior. In this festival Sikhs shows their martial arts that follows the Hindu festival of Holi. The festival was originally created to distract Sikhs from the Hindu festival. |
